The Small Support Network

The
Small Supports
Network

Who are we?

Growing from the work of the NDTi Small Support Programme we are a network of small support organisations who have come together to champion the provision of small, local and person centred support, and our approach.

We support people who have very individual and complicated support needs, including people with learning disabilities, autistic people and people with mental health support needs.

Our members are mostly providers of support to over 18's however we are starting to develop work supporting young people 16+.

We are open to talking with any organisation that is committed to staying small and local and who is either already supporting people with complicated lives or planning to in the near future.

Our Values

We believe in the power of connection. Our network is built on core principles that guide how we share resources, support each other, and enhance the quality of care across the UK.

Learn, Share and Improve

We host online meetings, sharing work and often with invited guests.

We have an active WhatsApp group.

We link with the NDTi Small Supports programme

As we grow we will be expanding the benefits of membership

Peer-to-Peer Support

For new old and established small supports we support each other, share contacts, connections and practice.

We tackle the isolation new organisations can experience.

Person-Centered

The person's voice and the voice of their loved ones is the foundation.

We match staff to the person.

We commit to not walking away, even after the most difficult days.

Local and Small

We operate with transparency and mutual respect, building a community that providers and individuals can rely on.
